About Michele

I have always known I was to be a teacher.  When I was six years old, I received a chalkboard for Christmas, set up my attentive stuffed animals in rows, and thus began my career.  Eventually, I earned an M.Ed., taught 20 years of school, and am in my 26th year of teaching yoga.

My spiritual path officially began in college when a beloved professor introduced me to meditation. Ignited with curiosity, I spent the next decade sampling various forms of meditation, yoga, and spirituality and studying herbal medicine and Ayurveda.

Nearly three decades, five 200-hour teacher trainings, and thousands of workshop hours later, I am still digging in, still wanting more, still inspired by my teachers, still awed by the teachings, and still motivated to teach because of the great power of this practice to transform every level of our being.

Off the mat, I love family time, greeting the morning sun, being a student, preparing fresh food, curling up with a captivating book, playing in the ocean, e-biking, traveling, trekking through the woods, and finding shri all around me.

My heart overflows with gratitude for all of my teachers-- in yoga, school, and life.  I am excited, delighted, and deeply honored to serve as a teacher on this path.
